Fair Maid of Foyers
Built by Andrew Barclay in 1899. 3' Gauge 0-4-0T industrial engine. This locomotive is in sound condition and was fitted with a new boiler shortly before being withdrawn from service. All the cab fittings etc are in store. There are now plans to return to steam as the Irish Fintown Railway is funding its restoration.. The engine is completely dismantled and restoration is now underway with new axles and crank pins made, the wheels re-tyred, piston rods renewed and new bearings throughout. See news page for the latest on this project.
