NCB No. 1 "Lord Roberts"

Built by Neilson Reid of Glasgow in 1899 and sold to the Coltness Iron Co in 1902. The locomotive came from the NCB Twechar Colliery. While under the  ownership of the NCB the frames were lengthened and a rear bunker added. At present a registered "Thomas" locomotive and is regularly hired to several other railways in Scotland and England. The locomotive had a major overhaul in 2004 and the boiler has a ten year ticket.
